Your chalet in Méribel is waiting? The driver collects you at Lyon Airport and takes you straight there, skis and suitcases included. The price is agreed on quote before departure.
Up to Moûtiers, the route is the same as for the whole Tarentaise: A43 towards Chambéry, A430 towards Albertville, then the N90. After that, Méribel is quick to reach.
The D915 first heads to Brides-les-Bains, the spa town. The D90 then climbs the Allues valley, past the village of Les Allues, to Méribel. From Moûtiers it is only 17 km.
On the D90, winter tyres or chains are required from 1 November to 31 March, as in all mountain areas of Savoie. Our vehicles have them.
The Moûtiers junction serves Méribel, Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. On holiday Saturdays, this is where traffic jams are worst.
Méribel is only about twenty minutes from Moûtiers. Even after an evening flight, you sleep in the resort.
The quote is for the whole vehicle. Sedan for up to 4 travellers, 7-seat van for large families and skis.
Fast roads all the way to Moûtiers. The last stage, via Brides-les-Bains, is short.

After passport control and baggage claim, the driver is there with a tablet showing your name. They load skis and cases. You do not wait for a coach to fill up.
With your flight number, the driver sees when you actually land.
A late flight does not change the price. The driver adapts.
Ask for the right seat when you book.
The valley has several villages. Tell us where you are staying and the driver takes you to your chalet or hotel.
The historic heart, with its chalets among the trees. Many homes are on the slopes, so the exact address helps.
Higher up and further into the valley. This village opened in 1976, at the foot of the slopes.
The original village, on the road up. The Olympe gondola stops here.
At the bottom, around 600 m. The Olympe gondola links Brides to the Méribel slopes in 20 to 25 minutes.
Méribel is the Tarentaise resort closest to Moûtiers station. The taxi can pick you up there, just as in Lyon.
Moûtiers station: 17 km, about 25 to 30 minutes.
Lyon Part-Dieu station: 192 km, 2h30 to 3h. For trains that stop in Lyon.
Méribel was launched in the late 1930s by a Scot, Colonel Peter Lindsay. From the start he wanted a resort in harmony with the mountain.
The rules have stayed: wood and stone, double-pitched roofs in stone slate, limited height. That is why Méribel looks nothing like resorts built of large blocks.
In 1992 the valley hosted part of the Albertville Olympic Games: ice hockey and women's alpine skiing. Méribel sits at the centre of the 3 Valleys, between Courchevel on one side and Les Menuires and Val Thorens on the other.
Allow for the drive, a buffer and 2 hours at the airport. In practice:
The driver comes to your chalet, even high on the slopes. No dragging suitcases to a bus stop.
From the airport you need to reach a station, travel to Moûtiers, then go up. The gondola from Brides only runs during lift opening hours.
Handy for getting around, but you need snow tyres and a parking space near a chalet, often on a slope.
From the terminal to the chalet door, timed to your flight. The price is fixed in advance for the whole group.
Méribel is 141 km from Geneva and 180 km from Lyon. The time difference is small. Take whichever airport suits your flight.
We also drive from Geneva. Is your group in Courchevel? See the neighbouring valley.
