The route runs on the A40 for almost the entire journey, as far as the Le Fayet exit at the head of the Arve valley. A short road then climbs to the bourg of Saint-Gervais, perched on its promontory above the Bonnant gorges.
Allow 1h15 in normal conditions, of which more than 70 kilometres are motorway — one of the most free-flowing routes in Haute-Savoie. On Saturdays from January to March the end of the A40 towards Le Fayet builds up: plan for 1h45. At 850 metres the bourg road stays passable all season.
Saint-Gervais takes as many spa guests as skiers, often for three-week stays. Our vans with extended boots absorb the luggage volumes that go with that, and the fixed price does not change with the length of your stay.
Le Fayet station is the rail terminus of the valley and the departure point of the Mont Blanc Tramway to the Nid d'Aigle. We drop there too, at the same price, if you are connecting onward by train.
Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, chains carried on board. The Le Bettex road at 1,400 metres can require them after fresh snow; fitting is included.
Price is for the whole vehicle, including tolls, luggage and ski equipment. The weekend rate applies on Saturdays and Sundays. Identical outbound and return.
