The route leaves the airport at Bardonnex and joins the A40 up the Arve valley through Bonneville and Cluses. It exits at Sallanches, where the D1212 climbs about ten kilometres onto the Megève plateau via the Combloux hill — the only non-motorway section of the journey.
Allow 1h15 in normal conditions, which makes Megève one of the quickest resorts to reach from Geneva. On changeover Saturdays from January to March the Sallanches exit and the climb into Megève build up around midday, so plan for 1h45. The plateau sits at just 1,113 m, so the road stays open all season.

Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, chains carried and fitted at no extra cost. The Combloux hill can be tricky after fresh snow; our drivers run it all season.
One pair of skis or a snowboard per passenger in a saloon. Vans have extended boots and an external ski rack on request. Megève takes a lot of fortnight-long stays: tell us the luggage volume when you book.

The fixed price covers the whole commune and the neighbouring hamlets, from the village centre to the foot of all three ski sectors. We drop at the exact address with no surcharge between areas.
The pedestrian old town, the church square, horse-drawn sleighs and the Friday market. We drop as close as the residents' access routes allow, even inside the pedestrian zone.
The high sector linked to Saint-Gervais and Le Bettex, the largest side of the Evasion Mont-Blanc area. Reached by the Mont d'Arbois road from the centre.
