The journey

From Geneva Airport to Combloux

The route follows the A40 to the Sallanches exit, then the D113 which climbs onto the Combloux plateau in about ten minutes. The village sits on a balcony at 1,000 metres directly facing the Mont Blanc massif — the view that earned it Victor Hugo's description as the pearl of the Alps.

Allow 1h15 in normal conditions, most of it on motorway. On Saturdays from January to March the Sallanches exit builds up around midday: plan for 1h40. The plateau sits at 1,000 metres and faces south, so the climb stays passable all season.

A family resort by design

Combloux has always aimed at families rather than prestige. Child seats and boosters are provided free on request when you book, and our vans are sized for pushchairs and children's equipment.

The same ski area as Megève

Combloux is linked into Evasion Mont-Blanc, shared with Megève, Saint-Gervais and La Giettaz. You ski the same 400 kilometres of pistes for accommodation that is usually far cheaper.

The climb from Sallanches

Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, chains carried and fitted at no extra cost. The D113 is short but can need chains after fresh snow.

FAQ

Geneva Airport to Combloux — your questions

How much is a taxi from Geneva Airport to Combloux?
Fares start at €165 Monday to Friday and €220 on Saturdays and Sundays for a four-seat saloon. In a seven-seat van, expect from €220 on weekdays and €275 at weekends. The price covers the whole vehicle, including tolls, luggage and ski equipment.
Does Combloux give access to the same ski area as Megève?
Yes. Combloux is part of Evasion Mont-Blanc, shared with Megève, Saint-Gervais, La Giettaz and Praz-sur-Arly — around 400 kilometres of pistes. Accommodation in Combloux is generally far cheaper than in Megève for identical skiing.
How long is the Geneva to Combloux transfer?
About 1h15, of which more than 60 kilometres are motorway as far as Sallanches, then ten minutes of climbing on the D113. On busy Saturdays from January to March allow 1h40, the Sallanches exit being the pinch point.
Do you provide child seats for Combloux?
Yes, child seats and boosters on request when you book, at no extra cost. Combloux is a strongly family-oriented resort, so tell us the number and ages of children and the vehicle will be fitted out before you land.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. The fare covers the entire journey whatever the number of passengers, up to the capacity of the vehicle you choose: four in a saloon, seven in a van. For four travellers to Combloux, the weekday saloon works out at roughly €41 each — with no price rising at checkout.
Are the vehicles equipped for snow?
Yes. Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, with chains carried on board and fitted at no extra cost. Combloux sits at 1,000 m, and our drivers run this access throughout the season.
Can you carry skis, snowboards and luggage?
Yes. Allow one pair of skis or a snowboard per passenger in a saloon. Vans have an extended boot and, on request when you book, an external ski rack. For six or seven people travelling to Combloux with equipment and week-long luggage, tell us and a premium van will be assigned.
Do you cover the return from Combloux to Geneva Airport?
Yes, both directions at the same fixed price. The return journey takes about 1h15 in normal conditions. For a Saturday departure in winter, allow extra time: the Bardonnex border crossing and the valley roads are busy from early morning.
