The route runs down the A41 towards Annecy, joins the A430 to Albertville and then a short stretch of the RN90 to the Aigueblanche exit. The D95 then climbs the Morel valley for around fifteen kilometres to Valmorel at 1,400 metres.
Allow 2h15 outside peak periods, fifteen to thirty minutes less than the Trois Vallées resorts for the same fixed price. Valmorel leaves the RN90 before Moûtiers, which spares it part of the Saturday jam: plan for 3h15 at peak, against 3h45 for Méribel.
130 km and 2h15, against 145 for Courchevel and 165 for Val Thorens — at the same price. Valmorel leaves the RN90 before Moûtiers and so escapes part of the Saturday Tarentaise saturation.
Valmorel was built in the 1970s in traditional Savoyard style and is entirely pedestrian. Drop-off is at the entrance car parks, from which travelators serve the main street and the hamlets.
The resort aims at families rather than prestige, with accommodation prices to match. Child seats and boosters are provided free on request when you book.
Price is for the whole vehicle, including tolls, luggage and ski equipment. The weekend rate applies on Saturdays and Sundays. Identical outbound and return.

For four travellers on a weekday, the saloon works out at roughly €96 each for a direct journey with drop-off at your accommodation. On busy Saturdays from January to March, allow up to 3h15.
