The journey

From Geneva Airport to Les Arcs

The route runs down the A41 towards Annecy, joins the A430 to Albertville and the RN90 the full length of the Tarentaise to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From there a hairpin road climbs to the four resorts staggered between 1,600 and 2,000 metres, over roughly fifteen kilometres depending on your altitude.

Allow 2h50 outside peak periods. On Saturdays from January to March both the Albertville-Moûtiers and Moûtiers-Bourg-Saint-Maurice sections saturate between 10am and 4pm: plan for up to 4 hours. We track your flight and set the departure to limit the wait.

Four resorts, four altitudes

Arc 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000 are four separate resorts, linked on skis but divided by road. The price is the same, but the exact address avoids a detour: give us your Arc number and residence name.

Paradiski with La Plagne

The Vanoise Express cable car links Les Arcs to La Plagne to form Paradiski, 425 kilometres of pistes. If you are weighing up the two sides, the transfer from Geneva costs the same either way.

The climb from Bourg-Saint-Maurice

Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, chains carried and fitted at no extra cost. The climb to Arc 2000 is long and exposed; our drivers run it all season.

Les Arcs comprises four altitude resorts plus valley villages. The fixed price does not vary with the altitude of your accommodation.

Arc 1600

The original resort, wooded and quiet, linked to Bourg-Saint-Maurice by funicular. The closest to the valley and the quickest to reach.

Arc 1800

The liveliest and largest, comprising Charmettoger, Villards and Chantel. Central snow front and most of the shops and bars.

Arc 1950

A newer Savoyard-style village resort, entirely pedestrian, aimed at an international clientele. Drop-off at the entrance car parks.

Arc 2000 and Villaroger

The highest resort, at the foot of the Aiguille Rouge and the glacier. Villaroger is the access village below, served at the same price.

How much is a taxi from Geneva Airport to Les Arcs?
Fares start at €385 Monday to Friday and €440 on Saturdays and Sundays for a four-seat saloon. In a seven-seat van, expect from €440 on weekdays and €495 at weekends. The price covers the whole vehicle, including tolls, luggage and ski equipment.
Which Arc should I give you when booking?
Yours precisely: Arc 1600, 1800, 1950 or 2000, with the residence name. All four are served at the same fixed price but separated by road, with up to twenty minutes between 1600 and 2000. The exact address avoids a detour.
Can you drop at Arc 1950, a pedestrian resort?
Yes, at the entrance car parks, from which you reach your residence on foot or by the resort's own service. Arc 1950 is a newer entirely pedestrian village — give us the residence name so the driver takes the right approach.
Les Arcs or La Plagne from Geneva?
The two form the Paradiski area, linked by the Vanoise Express cable car, and the transfer price is identical. Les Arcs is slightly further at 165 km against 160 and is reached via Bourg-Saint-Maurice where La Plagne is reached via Aime. Choose on accommodation, not on the transfer.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. The fare covers the entire journey whatever the number of passengers, up to the capacity of the vehicle you choose: four in a saloon, seven in a van. For four travellers to Les Arcs, the weekday saloon works out at roughly €96 each — with no price rising at checkout.
Are the vehicles equipped for snow?

Can you carry skis, snowboards and luggage?
Yes. Allow one pair of skis or a snowboard per passenger in a saloon. Vans have an extended boot and, on request when you book, an external ski rack. For six or seven people travelling to Les Arcs with equipment and week-long luggage, tell us and a premium van will be assigned.
Do you cover the return from Les Arcs to Geneva Airport?
Yes, both directions at the same fixed price. The return journey takes about 2h50 in normal conditions. For a Saturday departure in winter, allow extra time: the Bardonnex border crossing and the valley roads are busy from early morning.
