The route runs down the A41 to Annecy, follows the lakeside D1508 to Albertville and then the RN90 up the Tarentaise valley to Moûtiers. The last twenty kilometres follow the D915, a mountain road of some twenty hairpins climbing from 500 to 1,850 metres.
Allow 2h30 outside peak periods. Saturday is changeover day in the Tarentaise: the Albertville to Moûtiers section becomes the valley's bottleneck between 10am and 4pm and the journey can reach 3h45. We track your flight and set the departure to miss the peak where possible.
Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, chains carried and fitted at no extra cost. The D915 from Moûtiers has around twenty hairpins — our drivers run it all season.
Skis and snowboards travel in a seven-seat van only. For six or seven people with kit and fortnight luggage, tell us and a premium van is assigned.

The Geneva to Courchevel transfer time is about 2h30 for 148 km on a quiet day. On a changeover Saturday, the same transfer can take 3h45. The border, the A41 around Annecy and the N90 approach to Moûtiers set the pace. The climb from Moûtiers then depends on your level: Le Praz comes first, Courchevel 1850 last. Fresh snow slows the final hairpins.
Public transport from Geneva to Courchevel means a train to Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains, then a regional bus up to the resort. Shared shuttles from the airport also stop in several villages and keep fixed timetables. A private transfer avoids the change at Moûtiers and the waiting time. Your driver takes you to the door of your hotel or chalet, whichever level of Courchevel it is on.
For Courchevel to Geneva airport, allow the full journey plus two hours at the terminal. On a weekday, leave about 4h30 before take-off. On a Saturday, the valley is busy all day, so set off at least 5h45 before your flight. Pick-up is at your hotel, chalet or residence. Your driver loads the skis and luggage at the door.
