The route runs down the A41 towards Annecy, joins the A430 to Albertville and the RN90 up the Tarentaise to Aime. From there the climb to La Plagne takes different roads depending on your village: the D221 for the high resorts, the Montchavin road via Bellentre, or the Champagny road via Bozel.

What makes La Plagne distinctive is its spread across eleven villages on three separate flanks: the final leg varies from ten to thirty minutes depending on your destination. On Saturdays from January to March, allow up to 3h55 with the Albertville-Moûtiers saturation.

The Vanoise Express cable car links La Plagne to Les Arcs to form Paradiski, 425 kilometres of pistes. If your accommodation is on the Arcs side, the transfer price is the same — only the road differs.
Winter tyres compliant with the French Loi Montagne II from 1 November to 31 March, chains carried and fitted at no extra cost. Belle Plagne and Aime-la-Plagne sit above 2,000 metres; the climb from Aime is long and exposed.
